Frequently Asked Questions

Can you print jobs that are different than the standard formats that you offer?

Yes. Contact us via email to request a quote on any printed format that is not currently listed.

I have order booklets, how do I supply my file?

We require single page PDF files in sequential order eg 1, 2, 3, etc, NOT as spreads, you don’t need to worry about how the booklet will work, we can do that for you.

I have placed an order but just noticed a mistake on my artwork?

It is very important that you check that all information is correct before you place your order (it may be useful to get someone to have a look at the files before sending them). If you do find that you have made a mistake it is very important that you contact us immediately. We want you to be happy so if your job has not been processed then there will be no charge and we will await your new file(s). If however your job has been completed or processed then unfortunately we would need to charge you the full amount again.

Will you check my file before printing it?

Yes, we will always check your files before we print.

If we find anything wrong with them in terms of quality, position, size etc. we will always contact you and advise you on the best way to sort it. If you can’t, we will offer a solution.

Unfortunately we do not check files for spelling errors.

Why do the printed colours look different from the colours on my screen?

In short, printers and monitors produce colors in different ways and they don’t necessary present exact look.

What is coated paper stock?

Coated paper stock is a premium, high-quality paper that has been given a smooth with sheen finish which is designed specifically for printed documents that require sharp details and vivid colours. Uncoated paper, by contrast, is somewhat porous, and is best suited to the printing of black and white text documents. Or if you preferer a matte finish.

I don’t have a file but I want to get something printed – what do I do?

That’s no problem! Our team of highly skilled graphic designers are here to help make your vision a reality. Contact us today to get started!

Will you match a sample I print out on my own printer, or a previously printed sample?

We usually work with most standard colour profiles however, due to varying technologies used in printing, there is no guarantee that your completed document will match your printed sample. This is due mainly to the varying results from different output devices such as inkjet, bubblejet and laser printers and offset press prints. Even from one commercial printing firm to another, there can be wide differences in results.

A printed proof will be provided before going to production if required for you to check.

I can’t find what I’m looking for on your website – can you print it for me?

We’ve tried to assemble a range of items which cover most of the marketing bases. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please contact us and we’ll explore other possibilities.

How do you need me to supply the artwork?

Make sure your files are the right size and file format, they need to have a bleed of 3mm all around. Do not provide artworks with any sort of cutting marks.

What other file formats can I send you?

Our preferred file format is PDF. We can also work with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel. Please contact us regarding other programs not listed here. When submitting native file formats special consideration is required for fonts and graphics used in the files.
